Entry 51 — Continuous Being Theory
Scored last, after the standard, the field and the instruments were already on the record, and under the same rules as the other fifty. It is the only entry whose outcome was open at the time the field was scored.
Level 5, outcome held
Clears the gate on stated failure conditions. Claims fixed in 2021–2022, before the instruments and corpora existed. Level 5 requires reproduction by a party independent of the proponent: independent raters, blind to the expected outcomes, reproduced both measurements. Level 6 — a test designed by its critics — has not been attempted.
On the gate
A position below the gate does not clear the testability condition and is shown off the ladder rather than assigned a numerical standing. It is a different location, not a low score.
On placement
Categories follow Kuhn's chart rather than general impression: Dennett, Searle and Van Inwagen are filed under Non-reductive physicalism, and Wilber under Anomalous & altered states. Where a position is not on Kuhn's chart it is assigned by inference, and that is noted in the paper.
Standings were assigned by the author with position identities known. Blind rescoring by an independent party, with position identities withheld until after assignment, remains available and is invited. The rule set is published so that anyone who disagrees with a rule can change it and rerun the whole field.
